JRA1 Project

The Joint Research Activities aim at developing critical and/or beyond the actual state-of-the-art components and systems to upgrade existing infrastructures such as the TESLA Test Facility (TTF) at DESY.

The basic objectives of the research activities of SRF are:

to increase the accelerating gradient from 25 to 35 MV/m
to increase the quality factor from 5 x 10⁹ to 2 x 10¹⁰
to improve the reliability, operating performance and availability of the superconducting accelerating system and
to achieve a cost reduction of the SRF cavities and their associated components.

The objectives are treated within 10 work packages which are described in more detail in the Proposal (See Documents). The pull-down menue here gives information on the participants of JRA1, a detailed time schedule, expected deliverables (MS Project) and the organisation structure.
